Shankleesh, is an appetizer (mezze) made from yogurt drained in cheesecloth (Labneh). Although it has a somewhat secret recipe, it is known that the main ingredient is yogurt. After the yogurt is cured, some hot flavors are added and the mix is wrapped with finely ground thyme. Shankleesh could be found abundantly in Lebanon markets, other Middle Eastern countries and in other occidental countries.
